Synergy Coffee is a fast-growing mobile coffee catering company serving corporate events, private events, and large-scale activations across the Southeast. We are known for premium service, strong branding, and seamless execution. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a high-level operator to own our events and day-to-day operations.

Role Overview

The Events Lead / Operations Manager is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all event execution and internal operations. This role functions similarly to a COO within an events-focused business—owning systems, people, logistics, and quality control—so the founder can focus on growth, partnerships, and strategy.

This person is accountable for ensuring every event runs smoothly, teams are prepared and supported, and operational systems scale efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Event Operations & Execution

  • Own end-to-end execution of all events (corporate, private, pop-ups, activations)

  • Build and manage event timelines, staffing plans, and load-in/load-out logistics

  • Ensure consistent service quality, brand standards, and client experience

  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues in real time

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage baristas and event staff

  • Act as the primary point of accountability for staff performance

  • Create SOPs, training systems, and performance standards

  • Lead by example on-site when needed

Operational Systems & Process Improvement

  • Build and refine repeatable systems for event prep, execution, and breakdown

  • Oversee inventory management (coffee, milk, syrups, cups, equipment)

  • Coordinate maintenance and readiness of vans, carts, and equipment

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions as the business scales

Client & Internal Communication

  • Serve as internal owner for event fulfillment once events are booked

  • Communicate clearly with clients, internal teams, and vendors

  • Ensure all event details are confirmed, documented, and executed accurately

Leadership & Accountability

  • Track event performance, staffing needs, and operational costs

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve margins and efficiency

  • Take full ownership of operations outcomes—wins and misses

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–7+ years experience in operations, events, hospitality, or logistics

  • Proven ability to manage people, processes, and pressure simultaneously

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable leading teams in fast-paced, live-event environments

  • Proactive problem-solver who doesn’t wait to be told what to do

  • Experience scaling systems in a growing business is a major plus
